Indeed it had fallen. Yanagi looked down and found the bottle on the floor next to the bed. He leaned down and picked it up. Immediately upon hoisting it back on the bed, Yanagi noticed something strange. Opening the bottle confirmed his suspicion.
“Akaya… why is the bottle half empty?” asked Yanagi.
“Oh… err… well…” Akaya looked around uneasily. “I-I um… spilled some?”
It sounded more like a question than a response. Akaya was a terrible liar. “Okay. Now tell me the truth.” said Yanagi patiently.
“Umm…” Akaya shifted around. “I sortofkindof… ate it.”
There was a pause. “What?”
“I ate half of it. It tasted good. Don’t blame me; it was bubblegum flavoured.” Akaya said, crossing his arms and looking away.
Yanagi facepalmed. “Akaya, if you wanted this flavour of lubricant simply to eat it than I should have simply bought you ordinary candy instead.” said Yanagi. Great. He had gone into a sex shop for nothing. “Don’t do that again. I don’t think it’s healthy.”
“But why would they make it bubblegum flavoured if we’re not supposed to eat it?” asked Akaya.

It’s not everyday that you read a YanaKiri fanfic where Akaya actually EATS half a bottle of lube that him and Renji are going to use because it’s bubblegum flavored. Talk about a mood killer when you’re about to do it for the first time…XD
“Sweet! Strawberries!” Akaya grinned and showed off the one in his hand as the Rikkai regulars all settled down to eat their lunches.
Yanagi looked up and had an idea. Smirking, he grabbed Akaya’s arm and brought the hand holding the strawberry to his mouth. Yanagi’s mouth closed over the strawberry (and a few of Akaya’s fingers) and sucked for a few seconds before taking it from Akaya’s grasp.
Akaya’s face immediately turned red. “S-senpai…”
Yanagi quickly chewed and swallowed the sweet fruit, looking directly at Akaya as he did so. “Mm, that was indeed sweet.” He smiled.
“Enjoy the rest of those strawberries, Akaya.” Yanagi said, chuckling before returning to his bento, cheeks slightly tinged the same color as the strawberries.
Akaya looked down at the strawberries, then picked up another one with the same hand and began to eat it, a strangely faraway expression on his still blushing face.
Marui laughed and poked Akaya’s cheek. “You’re still blushing, seaweed-head.”
Akaya jumped and glared at Marui. “N-no I’m not!!”
Marui took this chance to steal one of Akaya’s strawberries, running it suggestively over his lips and laughing at Akaya some more. Akaya then put down his strawberries and got up to run after Marui, yelling the whole way.
Yukimura sighed. “Renji, was that really necessary?”
Yanagi chuckled in response. “Probably not. I’m sorry Seiichi, I couldn’t help it.”
